By using the Arabski mobile application ("the App"), you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the App.
1. Acceptable Use
The Arabski app is designed for members of The Vancouver Arab Ski Club to:
- Register for ski club events.
- Coordinate carpools and rides to events.
- Communicate with other club members through in-app chat.
- Receive push notifications about events and announcements.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or disruptive activities.
2. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, including but not limited to:
- Engaging in abusive, harassing, or disrespectful behavior towards other members.
- Using the App for purposes unrelated to the ski club.
- Attempting to interfere with the App's functionality or security.
- Providing false or misleading information during registration.
You may also delete your own account at any time through the App's Profile settings.
3. External Payments
Payments for events (such as lift tickets, transportation, or other fees) are handled outside of the App through methods such as e-transfer or other arrangements coordinated by club admins. The App only tracks and displays payment confirmation status as recorded by event administrators.
Arabski does not process, store, or handle any financial transactions or payment information. Any disputes related to payments should be resolved directly with the event administrators.
4. User Content
Messages you send in carpool and event group chats are visible to other members in those groups. By using the chat feature, you agree to:
- Be respectful and courteous to other members.
- Not share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content.
- Not share other members' personal information without their consent.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines and to take action against accounts responsible for such content.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Arabski app is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Specifically:
- We are not responsible for the outcomes of any ski club events, including but not limited to injuries, cancellations, or changes in event details.
- We are not responsible for carpool safety, including any incidents, accidents, or disputes that occur during rides coordinated through the App.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by other users or event administrators.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arabski and its organizers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
